The collection consists of papers of J. Lindsay Johnson from 1879-1915. Includes correspondence, documents, photographs, and memorabilia. The papers relate mainly to Lindsay's involvement as chairman of the Georgia State Commission to the Paris Exposition of 1900 and his appointment as Director of the Bureau of Census in Manila, Philippine Islands. Consists mostly of letters of introduction written by various people for Johnson for his trip abroad.
